Recently, a number of horror stories has come out regarding TSA. I have to be honest, I work with TSA. Not on the front lines, but my company does some back end work with TSA.
I am very sorry about the people who have had horror stories with TSA. For those who feel they no longer want to fly, I feel very sorry as well. Clearly, there is something at the top that needs to be changed. Policies need to be changed. Some people may need to be fired.
However, whatever the situation, any time you have a process that happens millions of times a day, there will always be some bad experiences. And even if these were unnecessary, which many obviously are, or the result of bad policy, the worst stories never represent the total experience. To pick out the worst of the worst as representative of anything is sensationalism. It is even more troubling when accusations are made and portrayed as fact without proof.
