A new report from the Rockefeller Institute shows that "robust revenue growth" at the state level continued for the fifth consecutive quarter at the start of 2011, following five straight quarters of decline.
Key Findings:
- Overall state tax revenues increased 9.3% in 2011 from a year earlier, including 12.5% growth in April and May of 2011, the most recent data collected. The Great Lakes region showed the largest gain with 15.6% rise followed by the Rocky Mountain region with a 12.8% rise.
